3 kW compact isolator & launcher
|
| The GIS03K340 device get together the functions of an Isolator and a Launcher.
It is manufactured in a compact aluminium block, alodine finishing, with a standard end flange style R26 provided of M6 threaded holes that allows to fix it on a WR340 waveguide.
The Isolauncher includes a water cooled load able to dissipate up to 3 kW of reflected power (100% of forward power) and two monitor probes with “SMA” connectors for the forward and reflected power sensing.
This solution represents an advantageous option both from an economical point of view and for the reduction of the overall dimensions, approximately of 56%, when compared to a classic solution of a launcher waveguide plus a separate isolator.
On the launcher section the device has been designed for the installation of the most common magnetron in the range up to 3 kW.
As the “Isolauncher” needs water provision for cooling, the choice of a water cooled magnetron offers the smallest configuration.
The unit is pretested at full load, either forward and reverse, and the monitor probes are calibrated and their attenuation value are printed on the probe’s label.
The rear side of the launcher section is designed to install an arc detector like our standard AD1601, when required. |
